Uniview FlightAssist is the navigation model in Uniview. It is designed to provide smooth motion and well composed imagery regardless of how Uniview is piloted. The concept behind FlightAssist is to make Uniview intelligent enough to know what objects are interesting at a certain perspective, and what camera velocity is appropriate.

The FlightAssist mainly assists when navigating Uniview interactively, and can orbit arbitrary focal points, translate freely and even land on planetary surfaces. The FlightAssist also controls objects visibility and fades objects in and out in a smooth fashion.

Using visibility triggers, objects automatically fades in and out based on the position of the camera. An automated speed adjustment makes the camera move slower in areas with high level of detail and faster in vast spaces. Transitions between objects are also automated and smooth. The FlightAssist gives five degrees of freedom, controlling radial motion, distance from any chosen object, and orientation. Uniview FlightAssist makes sure that every Uniview session is a smooth and visually appealing experience, regardless of the navigational skills of the pilot. It also dramatically reduces the training time required to fully master Uniview.
